Section I-6939 - Volunteers

A. Written policy and procedure shall specify the lines of authority, responsibility, and accountability for the volunteer service program, if applicable.

B. There shall be a staff member who is responsible for administering the volunteer services program.

C. Volunteers who serve in a detention center shall be carefully screened by the agency.

D. The agency administration or the parent agency shall provide against liability or tort claims in the form of insurance, signed waivers, or other legal provisions, valid in the jurisdiction in which the program is located.
