Section 94-5-12 - Confidentiality(a) Each document filed and all evidence received by the court shall be a public record, unless a protective order is issued by the court designating all or portions of the record confidential.(b) Any party may file a motion for a protective order, or a motion and agreed order may be jointly submitted by the parties, showing cause why specifically identified information in the record or information likely to become part of the record should be kept confidential. The motion shall state a legally valid basis for the protective order and shall include sworn statements or affidavits supporting the motion.(c) If a motion for protective order is granted, any measures permitted by law may be taken by the court to protect the confidential information.Kan.
