Sec. 8.
Chapter 7 is amended as follows:
(a) Amend Section 701.2 to delete the text and insert as follows: See the General Administrative Rules ( 675 IAC 12-4-9(a)) .(b) Amend Section 703.1.2 to insert "shall be" after "openings" and before "protected".(c) Amend Section 703.2 to delete the first sentence and insert the following: Opening protectives shall be maintained in accordance with the rules of the commission.(d) Amend Section 703.2.1 to delete the text and insert the following: A sign shall be displayed permanently near or on each required fire door in letters not less than one (1) inch (twenty-five and four-tenths (25.4) mm) high to read as follows: (1) For doors designed to be kept normally open: FIRE DOOR - DO NOT BLOCK.(2) For doors designed to be kept normally closed: FIRE DOOR - KEEP CLOSED. For the purposes of this section, "fire door" means an assembly which is part of a fire-rated assembly.
(e) Amend Section 704 to delete the text and insert as follows: "See the Indiana General Administrative Rules - Maintenance of buildings and structures ( 675 IAC 12-4-9) ."
