Section 16-114-14 - Terms of members
(a) The terms of the members shall be for four years; provided that the director may reduce the terms of members initially appointed so as to stagger terms so that the term of one member expires in the first year; the term of two members expires in the second year; the term of two members expires in the third year; and the term of two members expires in the fourth year.
(b) Except for terms of those members first appointed, each term shall commence on July 1 and expire on June 30.
(c) No person shall be appointed consecutively to more than two terms as a member of the committee provided that membership on the committee shall not exceed eight consecutive years.
(d) Any member whose term has expired may continue in office as a holdover member until a successor is appointed; provided that a holdover member shall not hold office beyond the end of the calendar year that the member's term expired.
(e) A vacancy occurring in the membership of the committee during a term shall be filled for the unexpired term thereof by the director.
(f) The director may remove or suspend for cause any member of the committee after due notice.
