Section 11-58.1-01 - Purpose The purpose of this chapter is to establish minimum standards governing the design, construction, installation, operation, and maintenance of solid waste disposal, recycling, reclamation, and transfer systems. Such standards are intended to:
(1) Prevent pollution of the drinking water supply or waters of the State;(2) Prevent air pollution;(3) Prevent the spread of disease and the creation of nuisances;(4) Protect the public health and safety;(5) Conserve natural resources; and(6) Preserve and enhance the beauty and quality of the environment.Haw.
