Section 11-175-64 - Right to request a private physician in a psychiatric facility operated by the State or a county Psychiatric facilities operated by the State or a county shall establish policies and procedures for the consumer's exercise of the right to request treatment by a private physician licensed under chapter 453, HRS. Such policies and procedures shall include mechanisms for:
(1) Provision of evidence of appropriate liability insurance coverage by the physician; and(2) Agreement in advance by the physician that if private treatment is to be discontinued, written notification will be provided to the facility administrator 24 hours prior to such discontinuation.[Eff. and comp DEC 30 1988; Comp OCT 19 2007] (Auth: HRS § 321-9) (Imp: § 334-104)
