Section 11-148.1-7 - Liability insurance(a) Any person who operates an adult foster home shall obtain and maintain the following types of insurance:(1) Liability insurance with respect to the operation of the home which meets the requirements of this chapter; and(2) Automobile liability insurance, including bodily injury liability coverage for vehicles used to transport adults with I/DD which meets the requirements of this chapter.(b) The insurance shall be obtained from a company authorized by law to issue such insurance in the State of Hawaii, or the insurance shall meet the requirements of section 431:8-301, HRS, if using an insurance company not licensed by the State of Hawaii.Haw.
