Criteria 1) Budget Section: The extent to which the proposed budget and resources are appropriate and justified to support the program, and reflect the intent of the Georgia Challenge.
Criteria 2) Program Summary: Overall rating of the proposal - the extent to which the activities set forth in the grant application reflect the intent of the Georgia Challenge.
Criteria 3) Needs Assessment: The extent to which the school system demonstrates a need for the proposed program in the local school system.
Criteria 4) Goals and Objectives: The extent to which the program objectives relate to the Georgia Quality Core Curriculum objectives in visual art, music, theater, and dance in K-5; and the extent to which the program objectives incorporate and build on the National Standards in Arts Education.
Criteria 5) Goals and Objectives: The extent to which program objectives are related to and support arts education within the school system's instructional plan, including the potential for replication of model programs, K-5.
Criteria 6) Program Description: The extent to which student activities and outcomes, staff development, and/or other program and planning activities reflect sequential, curriculum-based learning.
Criteria 7) Program Description: The extent to which the school system has or will partner with their public colleges and universities, businesses, and local cultural and civic communities to infuse basic education in the arts into the curriculum on the same level as other core subjects.
Criteria 8) Program Description: The extent to which the program is designed to be ongoing and sustainable beyond Georgia Challenge funding; and the extent to which the school system will promote the Georgia Challenge Program at the state and local levels.
Criteria 9) Time Line: The extent to which the time line provides for a complete, realistic, and efficient work schedule for the program.
Criteria 10) Evaluation Plan: The extent to which the proposed evaluation procedures and/or instruments are adequate to fully evaluate the goals and objectives of the proposal.
