When allegations of prohibited conduct are brought to the attention of the Director, the Director shall review the allegations and any information pertaining to the allegations, and determine whether the alleged conduct is prohibited by the Act.
If, after review of the allegations and information, the Director determines that the alleged conduct is not prohibited by the Act, the Director shall terminate the investigation.
If, after review of the allegations and information, the Director determines that the alleged conduct is prohibited by the Act, the Director shall, pursuant to § 304(a) of the Act (D.C. Official Code § 2-1403.04(a) (2001)), investigate the matter.
