Rule 29-5824 - WORK PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT AND STANDARDS FOR ACCEPTING CLAIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE5824.1In determining whether domestic violence took place, the Director or his or her designee shall rely on the following evidence:
(a) Police, government agency, or court records; documentation from a shelter worker, legal, clerical, medical, or other professionals from whom the applicant or recipient has sought assistance; statements from other individuals with knowledge of the circumstances; physical evidence of domestic violence, or any other evidence supporting the allegations; and(b) In the absence of evidence in paragraph 5824.1(a) of this subsection, allegations of the victim made under oath, including an applicant's petition for a Civil Protection Order, shall be sufficient to substantiate a claim.D.C.
