Rule 20-2510 - CIVIL INFRACTION FINES, PENALTIES, AND FEES PURSUANT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF CONSUMER AND REGULATORY AFFAIRS CIVIL INFRACTIONS ACT
2510.1

A person violating a provision of the Pesticide Operations Act of 1977, effective April 18, 1978, as amended (D.C. Law 2-70; D.C. Official Code §§ 8-401 et seq.), as amended, or the Pesticide Operation Regulations, Chapters 22 through 25 of this title, shall be fined according to the schedule set forth in Title 16 of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations, or be imprisoned for not more than ninety (90) days, or both.

Where civil infraction fines are the only penalties pursued in a particular case, the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs Civil Infractions Act of 1985, effective October 5, 1985 (D.C. Law 6-42; D.C. Official Code §§ 2-1801.01et seq.), and the regulations adopted thereunder govern the proceedings in lieu of this chapter, and where there is a violation, a notice of infraction may be issued without first issuing a notice of violation or threatened violation.
