Rule 1-702 - NOTICE OF MEETINGS
702.1

With the assistance of OGC, the Board shall cause to be published in the District of Columbia Register and on the Board's website notice of meetings of the Board. Except as provided in Subsection 702.3, notice of each meeting shall be given not less than forty-eight (48) hours or two (2) business days-whichever is greater-prior to the meeting pursuant to section 406 of the Open Meetings Act (D.C. Official Code § 2-576) .

702.2

Each notice of a meeting shall contain:

(a) The date, time, location, and planned agenda for the meeting;
(b) A website address at which interested persons can review the meeting agenda and Board minutes; and
(c) If the meeting or any portion of the meeting is to be closed, the notice shall include, if feasible, a statement of intent to close the meeting or any portion of the meeting, including citations to the reason for closure under section 405(b) of the Open Meetings Act (D.C. Official Code § 2-575(b)) , and a general description of the matters to be discussed during the closed meeting or the closed portion of the meeting.
702.3

Emergency meetings may be held on notice of less than forty-eight (48) hours or two (2) business days to address an urgent matter in accordance with section 406(4) of the Open Meetings Act (D.C. Official Code § 2576(4)); notice of an emergency meeting shall be provided to the public through the Board's website at the same time as notice is provided to the members of the Board.
