Any injury or illness sustained by a contestant while in training or sparring shall be fully reported by the contestant or the contestant's manager to the commissioner or such commissioner's authorized representative no later than twenty-four hours after such injury or illness. The contestant shall be examined by a physician licensed for at least two years to practice medicine in this state and be approved by such physician to continue training.
