Section 8 CCR 1402-1-2.314 - REQUIREMENTS FOR EMERGENCY SUBSTITUTES FOR THE PRIMARY PROVIDERA. Emergency substitutes must be at least eighteen (18) years old and capable of providing care and supervision of children, and handling emergencies in the absence of the provider.B. Emergency substitutes must: 1. Be given the names and ages of the children, and any special needs or health concerns;2. Immediately call each parent(s) or guardian(s) to notify them that the provider has been called away from the family child care home for an emergency situation; and3. If the substitute does not meet the same age and training requirements as listed in rule sections 2.311, 2.312, and 2.313 as the primary provider, applicant 2, equally qualified provider, or qualified substitute, they shall notify parent(s) or guardian(s) immediately to pick up their children.47 CR 04, February 25, 2024, effective 3/16/2024
