Add a new section AJ104.2 Structural - as follows:
Unreinforced masonry townhouse buildings shall have parapet bracing and wall anchors installed at the roofline whenever a reroofing permit is issued if required by 780 CMR 34.00: Existing Structures. Such parapet bracing and wall anchors shall be of an approved design. Where renovations may decrease the structural performance of the existing building, such proposed activities shall be evaluated by a registered design professional for adequacy, prior to such actual structural renovation.
