Section 1.510 - Scheduling(1) ORI must register the appeal and set a date for a hearing no later than five working days from the date it receives the request for a hearing. The hearing officer will notify all parties of the hearing date at least ten calendar days prior to the date scheduled for the hearing. The appellant may request an expedited hearing. A request for an expedited hearing automatically waives the requirement for the ten-day advance mailing notifying the appellant of the hearing date. The appellant and/or the appellant's representative will be contacted, orally when possible, at least 48 hours prior to the hearing.
(2) ORI shall select an accessible hearing site. If the appellant has a handicap or disability which reasonably prevents his or her appearance at the designated site, he or she may request that the hearing be held at his or her home or other accessible location.Amended by Mass Register Issue 1328, eff. 12/16/2016.
