CORI records may be disseminated only to individuals certified by the CHSB to receive such information, such as the hiring authority or CORI Coordinator. The Hiring Authority shall maintain a listing of persons so certified. Willful dissemination of Criminal Offender Record Information to unauthorized individuals is punishable by a jail sentence of up to one year and/or a fine of $5,000 in addition to civil penalties, pursuant to M.G.L.c. 6, § 78.
