When child care is requested, the Department social worker and supervisor shall assess whether supportive child care is required as part of the family's service plan. Utilization and continuation of child care services shall be reviewed as needed, but not less than every six months, to determine the appropriateness of continuing supportive child care. Area director approval is required for continuation of suppportive child care services beyond 12 months.
