Section 361.300 - Authorized Representatives(A) An authorized representative is someone designated by the head of a household, spouse or other responsible household member to act on behalf of the household in applying for SNAP, obtaining SNAP benefits and/or purchasing food. An organization or institution conducting a drug addiction or alcohol treatment and rehabilitation center in accordance with 106 CMR 365.610: Drug and Alcohol Treatment Centers or nonprofit group living arrangements may also serve in this capacity.(B) An authorized representative is designated to enable a household to participate in SNAP when the head of the household, spouse or other household member is unable to make an application to obtain SNAP benefits, maintain SNAP benefits and/or purchase food.Amended by Mass Register Issue 1329, eff. 12/30/2016.
