Section 6937 - Eligibility for Public Benefits

To be eligible to receive a public benefit under the department's programs, a person must be a United States citizen or national, or, pursuant to Section 411 of the PRAWORA, one of the following types of aliens:

(a) a qualified alien;
(b) a nonimmigrant alien under the INA; or
(c) an alien who is paroled into the United States under section 212(d)(5) of the INA (8 U.S.C. § 1182(d)(5)) for less than one year.
