Section 1861.22 - Affidavits of Vendors Regarding Security Interests; Discharge of Same(a) No funds shall be authorized by the Executive Officer for the purchase of portable units (including furnishings contained therein) unless the vendor files an affidavit with the Executive Officer in close proximity to the time of the proposed transfer of funds by the State that there are no chattel mortgages, title retentions, security interest, or liens of any kind against such property, recorded or unrecorded, and that he has no knowledge of any that will be given or obtained. In the event that such affidavits cannot be furnished because of the existence of security interests or liens of any kind, suitable provisions shall be made by the vendor for the release of such security interests prior to or at the time of the payment to such vendors.Cal.
