Section 1145.1 - Minimum Audit Requirements(a) All legislative claims submitted to the State Controller's Office will be audited to determine that:(1) the expenditure is proper and legal;(2) the claim is charged against the correct appropriation;(3) invoices and documents are attached and supported;(4) the claim is certified;(5) the proper approvals are obtained; and(6) in the event that payments are under contracts or purchase orders, copies are on file and the payments being made are in accordance with their terms.(b) If a question develops in the audit of a claim, it will be returned to the submitting legislative body with a request for additional information or justification.Cal.
