(a) Within 60 working days of receipt of an application pursuant to Business and Professions Code section 2102, 2103, 2135, or 2151 for a license to practice medicine, the division shall inform the applicant in writing whether it is complete and accepted for filing or that it is deficient and what specific information or documentation is required to complete the application.(b) Within 100 calendar days from the date of filing of a completed application, the division shall inform the applicant in writing of the decision regarding the application for licensure. This time frame includes the time needed to take and pass the first licensure examination offered after the division determines that an application is complete.(c) The division's time periods for processing an application from the receipt of the initial application to the final decision regarding issuance or denial of a physician and surgeon license based on the division's actual performance during the two years preceding the proposal of this section were as follows: (1) The minimum time was 30 days.(2) The median time was 153 days.(3) The maximum time was 478 days.Cal.
