(a) Within 10 working days of receipt of an application for a certificate to practice medicine as a part of an appointment to a position pursuant to Section 2113 of the code, the division shall inform the dean of the sponsoring medical school in writing that it is either complete and accepted for filing or that it is deficient and what specific information or documentation is required to complete the application. An application is considered complete if it is in compliance with the requirements of Section 2113 of the code.(b) Within 100 calendar days from the date of filing of a completed application, the division shall inform the dean in writing of its decision regarding an application and shall issue the faculty member a certificate of registration.(c) The division's time periods for processing an application from the receipt of the initial application to the final decision regarding issuance or denial of the certificate to practice medicine as a part of a faculty appointment based on the division's actual performance during the two years preceding the proposal of this section were as follows:(1) The minimum time was 2 days.(2) The median time was 29 days.(3) The maximum time was 70 days.Cal.
