The advisory council has 15 voting members representing professional associations, health care sites, and health care professions education and training sites. The commissioner will appoint, as at least one of the 15 members, an expert in economic issues related to recruitment and retention of health care professionals in the state. The commissioner will appoint three at-large members, who are experts needed for specific issues that may arise during the administration of the program.
