The grantee and a subcontractor of a grantee shall retain grant and subcontract records, including records of the receipt and disposition of grant income, for a period of at least three full calendar years after closure of the grant. If an audit is in progress or audit findings, litigation, or claims that involve the records are pending three years after closure of the grant, the grantee or the subcontractor shall continue to retain those records until at least one calendar year after all those matters are concluded.
