Section 825-X-1-.02 - Membership
(1) Selection. The Commission shall consist of members appointed by and representing the following entities. All appointments must be confirmed by the Senate.

West Alabama Sickle Cell Foundation Appointee1
Southeast Alabama Sickle Cell Association Appointee1
Sickle Cell Foundation of Greater Montgomery Appointee1
TriCounty Sickle Cell Foundation Appointee1
Gulf Coast Sickle Cell Disease Association Appointee1

(2) Term. Each member shall serve on the Commission for a period of four (4) years, or until his/her successor is appointed by the appointing entity.
(3) Duties. Each member shall be responsible for regular attendance at meetings of the Commission and shall carry out any task he/she is assigned to carry out as a member of the Commission or any subcommittee thereof.
(4) Vacancies. Upon the resignation, or disqualification of any member, such member shall be replaced as is provided in Section 1 of this Article. Upon resignation of any officer a special election shall be held at the next scheduled meeting.
