Section 35-11-1507 - Injunction proceedings; penalties(a) When, in the opinion of the governor, a person is violating or is about to violate any provision of this article, the governor shall direct the attorney general to apply to the appropriate court for an order enjoining the person from engaging or continuing to engage in the activity. Upon a showing that the person has engaged, or is about to engage in the activity, the court may grant a permanent or temporary injunction, restraining order or other order.(b) In addition to being subject to injunctive relief any person convicted of violating any provision of this article may be imprisoned for up to one (1) year, fined up to ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00), or both.Amended by Laws 2017 , ch. 110, § 1, eff. 7/1/2017.
