(a) A board of county commissioners which receives an application under this article for the permitting of a facility may charge the applicant a reasonable fee which shall not exceed the reasonably anticipated costs of processing and considering the application and conducting public hearings.(b) The board of county commissioners also may collect a reasonable building permit fee prior to commencement of construction which shall not exceed the reasonably anticipated administrative costs of issuing the building permit and overseeing compliance with permit conditions and requirements.Amended by Laws 2020 , ch. 106, § 1, eff. 7/1/2020.
