Section 18-2-32 - Posthumous high school diplomas(a) This section shall be known as "Todd's Law".(b) Notwithstanding any provision of this code to the contrary, the state board shall provide for the awarding of a high school diploma to a deceased student, at the request of the parent, guardian or custodian, if the student: (1) Was enrolled in a public school in this state at the time of death;(2) Was academically eligible, or on track to complete the requirements for graduation at the time of death; and(3) Died after the completion of the eleventh grade school year.Added by 2015 Acts, ch. 94 (SB 287), eff. 6/16/2015.
