(a) Except as otherwise provided in this subchapter, proceedings commenced under this subchapter shall be in accordance with the Rules for Family Proceedings and shall be in addition to any other available civil or criminal remedies.(b) If the petition is filed by an interested person, the court may in its discretion appoint a guardian ad litem for the vulnerable adult.(c) The Court Administrator shall establish procedures to ensure access to relief after regular court hours, or on weekends and holidays. The Court Administrator is authorized to contract with public or private agencies to assist persons to seek relief and to gain access to Superior Court judges.
