Section 5918 - [See Note] Indian tribes

Notwithstanding any other provision in this Compact, the Interstate Commission may promulgate guidelines to permit Indian tribes to utilize the Compact to achieve any or all of the purposes of the Compact as specified in section 5901 of this title. The Interstate Commission shall make reasonable efforts to consult with Indian tribes in promulgating guidelines to reflect the diverse circumstances of the various Indian tribes.

Added by 2022 , No. 101, § 2, eff. 18 months from the date on which the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children as described in Section 2 of Act 101 of the 2021-2022 Legislative Session is enacted into law by 35 states.
