Section 3313 - Collisions, crashes, and casualties(a) The operator of a vessel involved in a collision, crash, or other casualty, so far as he or she can do so without serious danger to his or her own vessel, crew, and passengers, shall render to other individuals affected by the collision, crash, or other casualty such assistance as may be practicable and as may be necessary in order to save them from or minimize any danger caused by the collision, crash, or other casualty. Also, he or she shall give his or her name, address, and identification of his or her vessel in writing to any individual injured and to the owner of any property damaged in the collision, crash, or other casualty.(b) If a collision, crash, or other casualty involving a vessel results in death or injury to an individual or damage to property in excess of $2,000.00, the operator shall file with the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles within 36 hours a full description of the collision, crash, or other casualty, including such information as the Commissioner may, by rule, require.Amended by 2021, No. 76,§ 19, eff. 7/1/2021.Added 1983, No. 212 (Adj.
