Section 4056 - Proceedings(a) Each State's Attorney to whom the Commissioner reports any violation of this chapter shall cause appropriate proceedings to be instituted in the proper courts without delay and to be prosecuted in the manner required by law.(b) Before any violation of this chapter is reported to any such attorney for the institution of a criminal proceeding, the person against whom the proceeding is contemplated shall be given appropriate notice and an opportunity to present the person's views before the Commissioner or the Commissioner's designated agent, either orally or in writing, in person, or by attorney, with regard to the contemplated proceedings.Amended by 2023 , No. 53, § 87, eff. 6/8/2023.Added 1959, No. 172, § 7, eff. 5/12/1959; amended 1959, No. 329 (Adj.
