(a) When a vacancy occurs in the office of a district officer, the district shall fill the vacancy at a special meeting.(b) A vacancy occurring in the office of clerk of an incorporated school district caused by death, resignation, or otherwise shall be filled by the prudential committee within ten days after such vacancy occurs.
