Section 78B-7-806 - Penalties(1)(a) A violation of Subsection 78B-7-802(1) is a class B misdemeanor.(b) An individual who knowingly violates a jail release court order or jail release agreement executed under Subsection 78B-7-802(2) is guilty of:(i) a third degree felony, if the original arrest was for a felony; or(ii) a class A misdemeanor, if the original arrest was for a misdemeanor.(2) A violation of a pretrial protective order issued under this part is:(a) a third degree felony, if the original arrest or subsequent charge filed is a felony; or(b) a class A misdemeanor, if the original arrest or subsequent charge filed is a misdemeanor.(3) A violation of a sentencing protective order and of a continuous protective order issued under this part is:(a) a third degree felony, if the conviction was a felony; or(b) a class A misdemeanor, if the conviction was a misdemeanor.Added by Chapter 142, 2020 General Session ,§ 66, eff. 7/1/2020.
