Section 76-8-420 - Removing or damaging a road sign(1) Terms defined in Sections 76-1-101.5 and 76-8-101 apply to this section.(2) An actor commits removing or damaging a road sign if the actor intentionally or knowingly removes or damages: (a) a milepost, milestone, or guidepost erected on a highway; or(b) an inscription on a milepost, milestone, or guidepost.(3) A violation of Subsection (2) is a class B misdemeanor.Amended by Chapter TBD, 2024 General Session ,§ 87, eff. 5/1/2024.Amended by Chapter 229, 2007 General Session.
