Section 76-8-411 - Trafficking in warrants(1) Terms defined in Sections 76-1-101.5 and 76-8-101 apply to this section.(2) An actor commits trafficking in warrants if the actor:(a) is a state, county, city, town, or district officer; and(b) directly or indirectly contracts for or purchases a warrant or order issued by the state, county, city, town, or district of which the actor is an officer, at any discount whatever upon the sum due on the warrant or order.(3) A violation of Subsection (2) is a class B misdemeanor.Amended by Chapter TBD, 2024 General Session ,§ 77, eff. 5/1/2024.Enacted by Chapter 196, 1973 General Session
