Section 63G-6a-111 - Purpose of specifications(1) All specifications shall seek to promote the overall economy and best use for the purposes intended and encourage competition in satisfying the needs of the procurement unit, and may not be unduly restrictive.(2) The requirements of this part regarding the purposes and nonrestrictiveness of specifications shall apply to all specifications, including those prepared by architects, engineers, designers, and draftsmen for public contracts.Renumbered from § 63G-6a-407 and amended by Chapter 355, 2016 General Session ,§ 14, eff. 3/28/2016.Amended by Chapter 445, 2013 General Session ,§ 36, eff. 5/1/2013.Renumbered from § 63G-6-303 and amended by Chapter 347, 2012 General Session ,§ 102, eff. 5/1/2013.Renumbered and Amended by Chapter 382, 2008 General Session
