Section 53-2d-509 - Ground ambulance and paramedic licenses - Hearing and presiding officers(1) The bureau shall set training standards for hearing officers and presiding officers.(2) At a minimum, a presiding officer shall:(a) be familiar with the theory and application of public convenience and necessity;(b) have a working knowledge of the emergency medical service system in the state; and(c) be licensed to practice law in the state.(3) The bureau shall provide training for hearing officer and presiding officer candidates in the theory and application of public convenience and necessity and on the emergency medical system in the state.Amended by Chapter 147, 2024 General Session ,§ 8, eff. 7/1/2024.Renumbered from §26-8a-409 and amended by Chapter 310, 2023 General Session ,§ 67, eff. 7/1/2024.Renumbered as §26B-4-163 by Chapter 307, 2023 General Session ,§ 51, eff. 5/3/2023.Amended by Chapter 326, 2017 General Session ,§ 12, eff. 5/9/2017.Enacted by Chapter 141, 1999 General Session.
