Section 53-2d-305 - Trauma center designations and guidelines(1) The bureau, after seeking the advice of the committee, shall establish by rule: (a) trauma center designation requirements; and(b) model state guidelines for triage, treatment, transportation, and transfer of trauma patients to the most appropriate health care facility.(2) The bureau shall designate as a trauma center each hospital that:(a) voluntarily requests a trauma center designation; and(b) meets the applicable requirements established pursuant to Subsection (1).Amended by Chapter 506, 2024 General Session ,§ 24, eff. 7/1/2024.Renumbered from §26-8a-254 and amended by Chapter 310, 2023 General Session ,§ 42, eff. 7/1/2024.Renumbered as §26B-4-114 by Chapter 307, 2023 General Session ,§ 14, eff. 5/3/2023.Enacted by Chapter 305, 2000 General Session.
