Section 41-1a-230.5 - Registration checkoff for promoting and supporting organ donation(1) A person who applies for a motor vehicle registration or registration renewal may designate a voluntary contribution of $2 for the purpose of promoting and supporting organ donation.(2) This contribution shall be: (a) collected by the division;(b) treated as a voluntary contribution to the Allyson Gamble Organ Donation Contribution Fund created in Section 26B-1-312 and not as a motor vehicle registration fee; and(c) transferred to the Allyson Gamble Organ Donation Contribution Fund created in Section 26B-1-312 at least monthly, less actual administrative costs associated with collecting and transferring the contributions.Amended by Chapter 328, 2023 General Session ,§ 39, eff. 5/3/2023.Amended by Chapter 378, 2021 General Session ,§ 3, eff. 10/15/2021.Enacted by Chapter 55, 2002 General Session.
