Section 4-2-104 - Administration by commissioner(1) Administration of the department is under the direction, control, and management of a commissioner appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the Senate.(2) The commissioner shall serve at the pleasure of the governor.(3) The governor shall establish the commissioner's compensation within the salary range fixed by the Legislature in Title 67, Chapter 22, State Officer Compensation.Amended by Chapter 352, 2020 General Session ,§ 1, eff. 5/12/2020.Renumbered from § 4-2-3 and amended by Chapter 345, 2017 General Session ,§ 14, eff. 7/1/2017.Amended by Chapter 176, 2002 General Session.
