Section 26B-5-324 - Local mental health authority - Supervision and treatment of persons with a mental illness(1) Each local mental health authority has responsibility for supervision and treatment of persons with a mental illness who have been committed to its custody under the provisions of this part, whether residing in the state hospital or elsewhere.(2) The division, in administering and supervising the security responsibilities of the state hospital under its authority provided by Section 26B-5-303, shall enforce Sections 26B-5-320 through 26B-5-323 and Section 26B-5-342 to the extent they pertain to the state hospital.Renumbered from § 62A-15-608 and amended by Chapter 308, 2023 General Session ,§ 53, eff. 5/3/2023.Amended by Chapter 366, 2011, 2011 General Session.
