Section 26B-3-605 - Hospital share(1) The hospital share is 100% of the state's net cost of Medicaid expansion, after deducting appropriate offsets and savings as a result of implementing Medicaid expansion, including:(a) savings from: (i) the Medicaid program's former Primary Care Network program;(ii) the health coverage improvement program;(iii) the state portion of inpatient prison medical coverage;(iv) behavioral health coverage; and(v) county contributions to the non-federal share of Medicaid expenditures; and(b) any funds appropriated to the Medicaid ACA Fund.(2)(a) The hospital share is capped at no more than $15,000,000 annually.(b) The division shall prorate the cap specified in Subsection (2)(a) in any year in which Medicaid expansion is not in effect for the full fiscal year.Amended by Chapter 439, 2024 General Session ,§ 12, eff. 5/1/2024.Amended by Chapter 284, 2024 General Session ,§ 22, eff. 5/1/2024.Renumbered from § 26-36c-203 and amended by Chapter 306, 2023 General Session ,§ 101, eff. 5/3/2023.Amended by Chapter 1, 2019 General Session ,§ 8, eff. 2/11/2019.Added by Chapter 468, 2018 General Session ,§ 20, eff. 5/8/2018.
