Section 26B-3-201 - Independent foster care adolescents(1) As used in this section, an "independent foster care adolescent" includes any individual who reached 18 years old while in the custody of the department if the department was the primary case manager, or a federally recognized Indian tribe.(2) An independent foster care adolescent is eligible, when funds are available, for Medicaid coverage until the individual reaches 21 years old.Amended by Chapter 284, 2024 General Session ,§ 9, eff. 5/1/2024.Renumbered from § 26-18-403 and amended by Chapter 306, 2023 General Session ,§ 42, eff. 5/3/2023.Added by Chapter 316, 2023 General Session ,§ 2, eff. 5/3/2023.
