In providing assistance pursuant to this subchapter, a State, or any other person with which the State makes arrangements to carry out the purposes of this subchapter, may purchase renewable fuels, including biomass.

REPORT TO CONGRESSPub. L. 109-58, title I, §121(c), Aug. 8, 2005, 119 Stat. 616, provided that: "The Secretary [of Energy] shall report to Congress on the use of renewable fuels in providing assistance under the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Act of 1981 (42 U.S.C. 8621 et seq.)."
