Section 62.025 - Date of Hearing(a) On presentation of the petition, the commissioners court of the county of jurisdiction shall set it for a hearing at the regular term of the commissioners court or at a special session called for that purpose. The hearing shall be held not less than 30 nor more than 60 days from the day the petition is presented.(b) If the hearing is required by Section 62.026 of this code, to be held by the navigation board, the commissioners court shall set the hearing at the regular meeting place of the commissioners court not less than 30 nor more than 60 days from the day the petition is presented without reference to any term of the commissioners court.
