Section 56.061 - Creation of Board(a) A district is governed by a board of three directors unless special law provides otherwise.(b) When a district is established, the commissioners court shall appoint three directors for the district to serve until permanent directors are elected.Amended by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 222, Sec. 1, eff. 9/1/1999.
