Section 17.887 - Refunding Bonds(a) The board may provide by resolution for the issuance of refunding bonds to refund outstanding bonds issued under this chapter and accrued interest on those bonds.(b) The board may sell the refunding bonds and use the proceeds to retire the outstanding bonds issued under this chapter, exchange the refunding bonds for the outstanding bonds, or refund the bonds in the manner provided by any other applicable statute, including Chapter 1207, Government Code.Amended by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1420, Sec. 8.411, eff. 9/1/2001.Added by Acts 1989, 71st Leg., ch. 1103, Sec. 1, eff. 9/1/1989.
